Each year, the Consortium provides funding for intramural projects related to the societal implications of problems in health, environment, and the life sciences. We have awarded close to $1.5 million since 2000. Our funding for the past few years has been to UMN graduate and professional students. Awards are provided as a stipend for research and writing and funding for research supplies, or funding for a program or colloquia for the upcoming summer and/or academic year.
