The AI Hub recently became the newest member center of the Consortium on Law and Values. Led by UMN Vice Provost for AI Galin Jones, PhD, the AI Hub serves as the University’s central engine for AI leadership — aligning education, research, operations, and external partnerships under a cohesive strategy. The AI Hub represents the full spectrum of AI, from foundational ethics to cutting-edge technical applications. The AI Hub's mission includes expanding AI literacy efforts for UMN students, faculty, and staff; driving AI efforts that benefit learners at every stage — from Pre-K–12 to professionals in healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and advanced materials; and strengthening ties with policymakers and industry leaders across Minnesota to position the state for long-term leadership. The AI Hub's expertise will deepen the Consortium’s collaborative capacity to address ethical, legal, and societal issues raised by AI and related technologies.
