Event Description

Reproductive technologies to treat infertility and to screen reproductive partners and fetuses for genetic disease are now widely accepted. However, new technologies are pushing the frontier of what is ethically and socially acceptable. Prof. Robertson focused on human cloning and explored the ethical, legal, and social issues that it raises. In the end, the question posed for society is the scope of individual control over his or her reproductive ability in an age of increasing genetic knowledge.
