At the International Network for the Science of Team Science (INSciTS) annual conference last week, UMN Regents Professor and Faegre Drinker Professor of Law Susan M. Wolf, JD, delivered an invited plenary address on "The Challenge of Advancing Ethical Research in Large Research Networks." Drawing on her work as a principal investigator of the NSF-funded NetEthics project, Prof. Wolf discussed a major gap in research ethics – how to ensure ethical and responsible research in large, dispersed research networks. She presented analysis and tools from the project to support research leaders and collaborators. From May 6-9, the InSciTS conference convened experts in big team science in Vancouver to advance collaborative science.
