The Minnesota State Fair begins tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, and runs through Monday, September 7. Celebrating its 175th anniversary, the University of Minnesota will be offering giveaways, educational events, and opportunities to participate in research at this year's state fair. The following Consortium member centers will be hosting experiences at the fair.
AI Hub
On Saturday, August 29, the AI Hub will be inside University of Minnesota Central (Crossroads Building) all day sharing about what artificial intelligence (AI) is, discussing the ethical and environmental considerations of AI, and asking visitors about their AI questions.
NSF ERC for Advanced Technologies for the Preservation of Biological Systems (ATP-Bio)
On Wednesday, September 2, ATP-Bio will be inside University of Minnesota Central (Crossroads Building) all day offering a unique opportunity to delve into the science of cryopreservation and its potential to transform society.
Institute for Health Informatics (IHI)
On Saturday, August 29, IHI will be inside University of Minnesota Central (Crossroads Building) all day offering live teledermatology demonstrations.
Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB)
MIDB will be hosting an exhibit to share their work to improve access to mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioral health care for rural and military-connected families. Visit MIDB in the Research Building during one of the following times.
