The Institute on the Environment (IonE) invites University of Minnesota members and community partners to respond to the Impact Goals Request for Proposals through March 14, 2023. IonE will competitively award grants and professional support to interdisciplinary teams of faculty, staff, and non-University partners to work on projects that address IonE’s current Impact Goals: becoming carbon neutral, defining a sustainable land use, and achieving clean drinking water for all; practices and innovations at the intersection of health and sustainably produced food, with attention to consumer choice and public policy; or another specific sustainability objective or outcome, including campus sustainability. A total of up to $1 million will be awarded. IonE anticipates awarding a minimum of four projects at $25,000 - $50,000 each and four projects at $100,000 - $200,000 each. For questions, visit the Impact Goals Request for Proposals FAQ or join IonE for a Question & Answer Webinar on Jan. 30, 2023, from noon – 1:00 p.m. CT. A Statement of Intent is due February 13, 2023. Final award selections will be announced by June 1, 2023, with the projects expected to start July 1, 2023. IonE is a Consortium member center.
