Family members tracking the progress of hospitalized loved ones have a new tool to connect with clinicians. With funding from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), UMN researchers Michael Pitt, MD (Pediatrics), and John Sartori, PhD (Electrical & Computer Engineering), have developed the Q-Rounds phone app to alert family members to upcoming hospital rounds and help them connect to the medical team. Loved ones can join the medical team visits virtually if they can't be there in person. CTSI is a Consortium Member Center.
