The University of Minnesota's Center for Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS) within the College of Veterinary Medicine has received a seven-year, $4.99 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant will help support the capacity building of veterinary services throughout East Africa. Through workforce development and group training, the program hopes to enhance animal health and food safety in the region.
