The Genomics Center (UMGC) is among four University of Minnesota partners promoting efforts to accelerate spatialomic research at the institution. Spatialomics maps where gene activity occurs within tissues so that researchers can better understand how cells function normally and when affected by disease. The new University of Minnesota Spatialomics Initiative pulls together key resources in one virtual location to assist researchers in their work. Until now, identifying the University experts and tools necessary for such projects has been challenging. The new initiative aims to provide answers and move spatial biology research forward more quickly. UMGC, Medical School Histology CoreUniversity Imaging Centers (UIC), and Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) are working together on the collaborative effort. UMGC is a Consortium Member Center.
