On June 24-25 2015, a conference on Precision Medicine was held in Boston to coincide with the launch of the new Department of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. The Precision Medicine Initiative, led by the National Institutes of Health, was announced by President Obama in late January. It has sparked an explosion of research and collaboration across the nation, including the University of Minnesota's Precision Medicine Symposium, held earlier in June. As part of the Harvard conference, Consortium Chair Susan M. Wolf moderated and presented in a session on ethical and practical challenges in using health informatics in clinical and research settings. Videos of all conference sessions can be found here.
