Consortium member Dr. Apostolos Georgopoulos, Director of the Center for Cognitive Sciences, presented at the Institute for Advanced Study on Thursday, May 1. He discussed how the brain deals with problems and challenges in space and time, and how various brain disorders affect this capacity. He also considers the effective adaptation of these mechanisms during the lifespan, so that the brain remains an effective problem solver in old age. View the video.
