
Jeffrey Miller, MD, has been appointed Interim Director of the Masonic Cancer Center (MCC), a Consortium Member Center, replacing Douglas Yee, MD, who led the organization with distinction for the past 18 years. Dr. Miller first joined the University of Minnesota’s Department of Medicine in 1991 as a faculty member and has held various leadership positions within MCC since, including as its Deputy Director. He specializes in blood cancers, blood and marrow transplants, and cancer immunotherapy. In his new interim leadership role, Dr. Miller will assist the Center as it prepares for its next NCI Cancer Center Support Grant renewal. MCC also announced that David Largaespada, PhD, has been appointed Interim Deputy Director. He previously led the Genetic Mechanisms Program and Associate Director for Basic Research. His research has focused on mouse genetics, gene modification, and cancer functional genomics.
